Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 200g sashimi-grade salmon
- 200g sashimi-grade tuna
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- Nori sheets
- Soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger for serving

Rinse sushi rice until water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions.

Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Fold into hot rice with a wooden spatula. Fan to cool.

For nigiri: wet hands, form small oval rice balls, place a slice of fish on top, and press gently.

For maki: lay nori on a bamboo mat, spread rice evenly, add fillings, and roll tightly.

Slice maki rolls into 6-8 pieces with a wet, sharp knife.

Arrange on a platter with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
